Cashen Rovers Fantasy League Rules 2006/2007
With the season all over, We now know who has won the remainder of the prizes. The overall league winner was
Emmett Doyle's unnamed team who has swept aside all before it over the last couple of months and has bagged the
£38.75 first prize. Second and third prizes go to Katie and Annie Quinn, both aged 2 years, who beat off stiff
competition from Tik and Gav to scalp the £23.25 and £15.50 respectively. The final team of the third winner
was Amos, whose SuperAMcs ultimate pipped Steve Green's Ricky Rockets on the strength of Amos' own goalscoring
record in March and April. £7.75 will be winging it's way to him too.
The second of the team of the third prizes went to Emmett Doyle's unnamed team which has lead the table
for most of the period, eventually winning by a wopping 29 points to get the £7.75. The first
of the prizes this year had gone to Darren Coyne's unnamed team who has since fallen by the wayside.
With a third of the season to go, it's still wide open as to who will get the big prizes at the end
of the year.
The Fantasy League for the 2006/2007 season has attracted 31 entries, meaning that the club will
get £54.25. Most of you owe £5 for your entries, so if you could forward the money on
to a member of the committee, it would be appreciated. The prize fund is split as follows:
- Team of the Third for competitive games up to the end of November, £7.75.
- Team of the Third for competitive games in December/January/February, £7.75.
- Team of the Third for competitive games from March to the end of the season, £7.75.
- Third placed team at the end of the season gets £15.50.

The teams have been picked from the player list in the link at the top of this page. Any players joining
the club will be added to the list as soon as possible and can be added to your team
as substitutes. You will be allowed only one substitution during the season and this can only consist
of one player out and one player in, at the same position. The substitution will become effective a
week after the transfer request comes in (which must be in writing or via the contact form at this
link). This is to prevent people
gaining an unfair advantage at the end of the season. Players can only score
points in competitive games and the scoring for each player is as follows:
- Playing a full match, 3 points.
- Playing part of a match, 1 point.
- Defenders or Goalkeepers playing any part of a clean sheet game, 5 points.
- Defenders or Goalkeepers playing any part of a non clean sheet game, - 1 point per goal conceded by the team.
- Scoring a goal, 3 points.
- Assisting a goal, 2 points. An assist can be claimed by the last player
to touch the ball before the goalscorer, regardless of whether the opposition
touched it in between. You cannot assist yourself.
- Receiving a yellow card, -5 points.
- Receiving a red card, -20 points.
- Scoring an own goal, -5 points.
