Cashen Rovers Fantasy League Rules 2007/2008
The second third of the season finished at the end of February and John Bowden and Gus share £7.50 between them for their teams
Jonny's Jizzles and Arsenal Wannabes who could not be separated over the period on 172 points each. The final team of the period will only
cover around nine games due to the number of teams departing the division this year, so it's all to play for.
The first third of the season is over and Gus has won the inaugural payout of the season with his team, Super Eagles, pipping Gavin's
unnamed team to top spot. As from the derby weekend, the second team of the third competition will be being run and with new players having
joined the club over the last month or so, it may be time to get those substitutions in.
Due to popular demand, The Fantasy League league is back for the 2007/2008 season. The rules are almost the same as last
year with the exception of the extra points awarded for doing a kit wash. Each entry is £5 and you can enter as many teams as you like.
The prize money is a percentage of the entry monies. There are 30 entrants this season, so £52.50 goes to the club with the rest of the
prize money as follows:
- Team of the Third for competitive games up to the end of November, £7.50
- Team of the Third for competitive games in December/January/February, £7.50
- Team of the Third for competitive games from March to the end of the season, £7.50
- Third placed team at the end of the season gets £15.
- Second placed team at the end of the season gets £22.50.
- First placed team at the end of the season gets £37.50.
The teams must be picked from the player list in the link at the top of this page. Any players joining
the club will be added to the list as soon as possible and can be added to your team
as substitutes. You will be allowed up to three substitutions during the season but these must all be
done in one go. The player out and player in must be in the same position. The substitution will become effective a
week after the transfer request comes in (which must be in writing or via the contact form at this
link). Players can only score
points in competitive games and the scoring for each player is as follows:
- Playing a full match, 3 points.
- Playing part of a match, 1 point.
- Defenders or Goalkeepers playing any part of a clean sheet game, 5 points.
- Defenders or Goalkeepers playing any part of a non clean sheet game, - 1 point per goal conceded by the team.
- Scoring a goal, 3 points.
- Assisting a goal, 2 points. An assist can be claimed by the last player
to touch the ball before the goalscorer, regardless of whether the opposition
touched it in between. You cannot assist yourself.
- Receiving a yellow card, -5 points.
- Receiving a red card, -20 points.
- Scoring an own goal, -5 points.
- Additionally this season, 3 points will be awarded to a player who does a kitwash. These points will be awarded for
ANY game played (even friendlies) up to the last competitive match of the season.
